Our present beliefs, habits, mannerisms and thought patterns are the result of past ‘programming’ into our subconscious mind from our parents, family members, teachers and various other sources. Unexpressed emotions, fear and our beliefs can hold us back in life from living the life we want and from feeling happy. At times we do not know why we have certain beliefs or fears and Hypnotherapy can help you to explore the original cause of a problem and to release these for you to positively move forward.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a skilled form of communication used under hypnosis that can support you to make your desired positive changes. You cannot be forced under hypnosis and you can still resist any suggestion made under hypnosis.  Hypnosis is the process of bringing you down into a deep state of relaxation by slowing down your brain waves using my voice, communication skills and music. You drift in and out of this state in your every day life and whilst day dreaming. Many clients say that they have never relaxed that deeply before!

The unconscious mind holds information, our memories, emotions and our creativity; it makes up approximately 95% of our mind (the conscious mind being the rest). It can be the source of many of our problems and it is also a huge reservoir of our unrecognised potential which can be tapped into through hypnotherapy. The unconscious mind is resistant to change because once it learns something, it tends to resist change, therefore, change needs to happen by working with the unconscious mind.
